Echoes of Distant Stars... ‘Tower of Echoes’

Echoes of Distant Stars are a Psychedelic Space Rock band from Newcastle Upon Tyne. Formed in early 2025, the band blends influences from kosmiche, prog rock, folk and psych. In parts delicate and melodic, in others heavy and cacophonous, other parts weird and ethereal, the three piece of Alex Johnston (Drums), Tom Astley (Guitar), and Dave Molnar (Bass) have brought to life a panoply of long-form, semi-improvised concept pieces.

Debut album ‘Tower of Echoes’ explores two worlds through two all-encompassing 21-minute tracks. Anomos navigates the brutal binaries of a planet of rock and sand, desolate but for the ghosts that hover just above the plains. Archon navigates the dark pathways around the Tower of Echoes, a space in which folk stories, myths and secrets stalk the landscape.
